I'm a visual artist and the focus of my work is painting. In the paintings I'd like to design a pictorial world that strives for figuration, but never clearly defines itself.
Artistic practice and medial strategies
Coming originally from drawing, I've been able to consolidate my painterly repertoire of forms through numerous studies on paper since 2017. In 2018 I started to work on medium and large format canvas. The results are gestural, almost abstract paintings with sometimes thick, impasto application of paint, as well as works that show greater detail through differently designed, graphic elements and thus suggest a figuration.
Academy of Fine Arts Munich
I'm looking forward to working as 'Referentin der Präsidentin' at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich as of winter semester 2024/25. Since I've been dealing with the specific experiences and working conditions of artists for many years, I've long had the desire to get involved in the strategic development of teaching and artistic research and to support future-oriented university policy processes.
Mentoring Program Deutscher Kulturrat Berlin
My project proposal for the mentoring program 'Frauen in Kultur & Medien' of the Deutscher Kulturrat (German Cultural Council) was selected from 350 submissions alongside 39 other applicants. The goals of the program are strategic career advice, practical support, positioning the mentees in the cultural community and building an alumni network.

BNKR – current reflections on art and architecture
As the director of the artspace BNKR, a cultural engagement of Euroboden Architekturkultur, I had the opportunity - in close cooperation with Stefan F. Höglmaier, managing director and founder of Euroboden GmbH - to transform the bunker Ungererstraße in Munich into a place of artistic practice and cultural participation.

Since my studies at the HfG Offenbach, art academy of the state of Hesse, I've been dealing with the media of painting, drawing and photography. While painting is the focus of my work, I consider drawing and photography as additional tools that inform my painting practice from their own perspective.
